Its tall speakers are actually each comprised of a front speaker plus a top-mounted swivel-lock rear-channel speaker. Using Front Stage Surround, Pioneer's Direct Diffuse technology reflects these rear speakers' signals off your walls and ceiling, creating an exceptional surround sound field without extra speakers, wires, and stands. You can also completely detach the rear channel speakers and place them behind your viewing position for a conventional 5.1-channel surround configuration.
